Accelify Solutions, a developer of online tools for managing special education services, has been acquired by Frontline Education, a Malvern, Penn.-based provider of K-12 administrative software. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Los Angeles and New York, Accelify offers a suite of products aimed at helping school administrators with the scheduling, planning, compliance and billing processes involved in serving students with special needs. The company was founded in 2008 and initially provided software for school districts to manage student health services and process Medicaid claims. Today it claims to serve three of the 10 largest U.S. school districts, according to a statement Thursday.
This deal is the 14th acquisition for Frontline Education, which is currently owned by private equity firm Thoma Bravo. The company says its services are used in more than 80,00 K-12 schools.
